had an over night stay at the hotel staff were wonderful.. the room that we had was very clean and big wanted to take the bed home it was so comfy .. we had dinner and bfast in our package dinner was very nice and bfast was good had to help yourself to what you wanted was very yummy :) the pool area wasnt very big only had a few seats could do with more.. the changing room wasnt very clean plastic bags for your swimwear were all on the floor and it had a dirty floor it is a family hotel so if you wanted a bit of quite in the pool area and some were that you wanted to be child free then i would say not for you. but apart from that was a nice over night stay..

“Becoming dated, management service is poor - average”

- the bathroom was very dated but acceptable.
- Restaurant food was about 7/10 (relative to the cost).
- Some hotel carpets smell of smoke and haven't been refurbished
- We added an extra to have rose petals sprinkled but they were made of card. When i mentioned my dissapointed to the reception, the duty manager arrived at the room and simply said they were petals and that was it!
- We also paid for wine to be in the room on our arrival which was in a dirty wine cooler.

My impression is that the hotel management (through lack of service and continued refurbishment) are letting the potential of a decent hotel down.

however, we are very sorry to hear about the encounters that detracted from your overall satisfaction. We take all feedback seriously and view it as a way to continually improve our products and services. Furthermore we are sorry you were disappointed with the rose petals, we do not use real rose petals on the beds as they can stain linen, therefore material petals are decoratively placed on the bed. Through speaking to the duty manager this was explained to you and she did all she could to make your stay a pleasant one. “Family reunion”

The family matriarch has a farm in the Tamworth area and we've made a conscious decision to meet there twice a year. Finding a Hotel that was close enough and met all the requirements of the group proved a challenge until I stumbled across this gem of a Hotel. Close enough to enjoy Birmingham city centre yet rural enough to benefit from the abundant outdoor activities available in the local area. We first stayed in 3 rooms last summer and the experience was fantastic. Last weekend we again stayed in 3 rooms, this time on a Dinner, B & B deal which was simply outstanding. Everyone was impressed with the quality of food and high level of efficient, friendly service. The rooms have been refurbished since our last stay and the upgraded bathrooms could easily compete with the big named Hotels. We have just booked again for June and are looking forward to another relaxing weekend where our every need is taken care off with quiet efficiency and professionalism. Absolutely fabulous Hotel and Staff.

“Fantastic!”

We held a recent Sales Conference here with different workshops and an evening awards ceremony for approx. 90 people. The service is fantastic, we found the staff very friendly and accomodating to our requirements. They could not have done more to assist with the set-up of the conference area the day before with staging, audio and presentation requirements. The quality of the food was excellent and they catered for different dietary requirements. Our staff have not stopped commenting on how impressed they were with the venue, how easy it was to find and how smoothly the event went.

We only stayed for the one night but wished it had been more. The cleanliness, friendliness, service & quality of food is second to non. The Spa facilities & gym are very good. We will definately be returning for a weekend break & as it is not to far from the NEC, Birmingham would highly recommend a stay. Great value.
