OCT 2-9th
Booked through Thomson.
My wife and I booked this hotel as a relaxing end of season, one week holiday and because England were playing football in the Capital, Podgorica, half way through.
The transfer from Dubrovnik, Croatia takes about 2 hours. This includes a border control and a 5 minute ferry crossing. The views along the way are stunning and helped the time pass a lot easier.
We were lucky with the weather, experiencing mid 20's all week until the last 2 days when it really cooled off and rained.
Becici was basically in the process of closing down for winter, and I would recommend you don't stay any longer than the first week in October in this resort. Instead, look at Budva which remained a little livelier.
Like most of the big hotels in Becici (except The Queen of Montenegro which is based on a hill) The hotel is based right by the beach. It has 3 outdoor and 1 indoor pools, although they are all on the small side.
As we booked All Inclusive, drinks were free, but only from one of the complexes three bars!
I personally enjoyed the food. It was varied, although, like most buffets, not very hot.
I would say however, perhaps the food isnt directed towards the palette of somebody from the UK. For example, there were no chips.
Which may be fair enough, as the Brits in general in this area are outnumbered by Russians, French and Italians.
In fact, in general, If being surrounded by British, Drinking British Ale in English themed pubs, or eating McDonalds/KFC/Fish and Chips is your thing, I don't think this would be the holiday for you.
Staff were friendly and knew enough English to get by.
Internet wifi was priced at €1 for 15 mins €1.50 for 30 mins.
I have only marked this hotel down on cleanliness as every day I woke up with new bites. I gaurantee these were not caused during the day, as I went to bed without them. The rooms were cleaned every day and made very presentable, but I'm convinced there was something in the bed!
I loved the country and getting about was cheap and easy.
I will consider booking this hotel again, along with the Iberostar Bellevue and Splendid the next time we come here, which I have every intention doing!
