I have been a guest to this wonderful "little" hotel on my frequent trips to Greece from the days it was known as Hotel Katerina,a Best Western hotel.Not much to say about it back then except that it was run down,noisy,the beds well worn and lumpy and the tiny bathrooms were horendious(could hardly close the door when sitting on the can.The only thing that kept me coming back for more were the wonderful people involved in running the place.They just made me feel so welcome and would always go out of their way to make me feel special and as comfortable as the environment permitted back then.
That's all changed today.The hotel was renovated from top to bottom 3 years ago and what they created was a beautiful"butique hotel"environment,very personal and with good taste.The only thing that didn't change was the staff of which I was very happy about.Such happy faces full of life and energy willing to radiate their aura to you.
The breakfast which is included in the rate is definately the richest and most diverse I've ever had in Greece.Espresso etc.served at your request at no extra charge.
Their snacks,such as the club sandwich is just heavenly and only 8 euros as I recall.Check in to a little heaven fellow travellers!

The Y hotel is a very nice hotel. Stylish! A hotel you feel like home the very first moment you set a foot into it.
The rooms are stylish and some of them (or maybe all, I don't know) have balconies. The people working in the hotel are very nice and trying to help wherever they can.
And what was a very nice suprise is that the breakfast was so great. Fresh orange juice, a big selection of cheeses, ham etc. and everything was a very good quality.
The hotel is in a nice area with lots of restaurants and bars.
The only thing is that it takes you about 1 hour to get to the center by train. Still it is cheap, costs 2.80 Euro there and back.

Very average hotel. Best thing was the location and the Internet everywhere.

Rooms were basic and the Walls are very thin. My room had a dodgy bathroom light (which was fixed when I complained) and on the first day my room wasn't cleaned well (bed sheets made poorly). Throughout towels weren't replaced and I had to call reception to get some (they removed the old ones)

Breakfast was ok...

Y Hotel, former Katherina, has been completly rebuild a couple of years agao. Now it offers great interior, environmental sustainable professional service, amazing continenal-greek breakfast! good prices both for business or private stay. located in walking distance to center if Kifissia, Kefalari from where you connect easily to cneter of Athens or Airport eather by taxi or electrico (metro).
