Very disappointed in this "Old Historic Hotel". Holes in the walls around the baseboard. Shower curtain looked like something found in the trash. Internet WiFi you must pay. No Tea Kettle in the room. When I ask for a water boiler they said call Room Service. I said "I have to pay for hot water for tea?" YES was the response. The toilet seat was from a junk yard. The bathroom floor had soiled stains on it. The TV set was from the 70's. No clock. Door lock was damaged and door would not lock easily. Shower head is on the wrong wall - so bathroom floor fills with water while showering. OLD AND HISTORIC for sure. All for 190 euro per night!!! Hey - you think I am making this up? Look at my pictures!!!

That is an old hotel, partially renovated with nice facilities but not customer oriented...
For everything you ask, they always have NO! as answer! No flexibility at all!!

Travelling on business we stayed here on recommendation from our Greek partners. It is nicely decked out and the rooms are nice with great spacious baths and shower. However for 2 of the 4 days I had no hot water. With very little apology they did nothing to make up for it. Also beware as there is no iron or board in the room. This is because they charge you for ironing your clothes like laundry. It is very expensive and to be honest a let down as it is a ploy to take more money off you.

The pool area is very nice and the location in the affluent north east area is great as a 10 minute walk takes you to some great eating and shopping spots. However the breakfast is below par, the staff are not very friendly and are not willing to even talk with you much.

Lastly the bell boy on another ploy takes you to your room and shows you all the 'pleasures' it has to offer...he is doing this for his tip...very over worked and acted but then again it happens.

The Hilton, Marriot and Sheraton may be pretty generic but at leasst you know everything will work well and be of quality. I wanted to like this place as it could be great but unfortunately it was a let down and very average.

Maybe the next time (if there is one) they will be better.

I have spent 4 nights in this hotel a bit far from the center of Athens but so calm and resting.
This place is an oasis of tranquility with a beautiful swimming pool in the middle of a small but nice park and the area is beautiful.
The staff is very efficient and helpful, smiley and polite. It has a great atmosphere from the 50's cherished by a charming bourgeoise/chic clientele. The restaurant and the bar is superb as the food they serve and you do not feel like going out even if there are loads of good addresses in the neighbourhood. It feels very cosy and in the evening nice tables candles and a great lighting gives it even a greater romantic charm. Our room, in the attic was very clean and also charming with bathtub and a great shower. It was obviously newer then the other floors but had no balcony. There is a small gym area and a very clean sauna. The only negative point was that for a hotel of this category, the breakfast was a bit scare but I did enjoy the fresh squeezed orange juice. On the all our stay there was just enjoyable and quite perfect! We'll go back!
