“will never do it unless my family forces me”

the room looks great but i am extremely fussy wit a hotel's bathroom. the bathroom was clean but is in need of repairs
the pool is nice except when you go near the bar. the bar stools are in the water and dey look BLACK. can anyone say YUCK
the grounds are well kept and i love the macau, he is such a sweet bird
breakfast was a disaster. we waited for atleast half an hour and the food was minimal. my uncle and i went for ice cream one nite and the only flavour was coconut. we paid $25 tt for one and we coudn't even take it to our room. not to mention we had to wait to get spoons to eat it LOL
despite the hotel's short commings my family and i had a blast. thank god for the kitchen in our room.
the price suits the environment i guess but if anyone is willing to try just remember to carry enough friends and family. its not a place to relax if you r alone, its a place to go if you kno u are just lookin for a place to sleep

“OK medium range apartments”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2010

Sandy Pt Village is a three star apartment hotel - no more no less.

On check in the respons was a bit slow, some might say uninterested, but as we weren't exactly in a hurry it was OK.

We stayed at the latest addition to the place, the Trini Wing, which was by the small pool. The room was BIG, clean and the kitchen well stocked. There was nothing wrong with the bathroom although i probably needed a bit of a refurb.

The pool outside was clean but only one of the whirl pools worked when we stayed at the hotel.

On the outside the hotel seemed well kept although some boards and rails probably needed a fix up.

The hotel restaurant - The Steak and Lobster Grill - was OK as well. Service wasn't the fastest I've had but that seemes to go for most of Tobago.

Brekkie wasn't too bad. Pretty much your basic international fair with some local dishes on.

At dinner time the different seafood was nice and the portion sizes more than enough.

The hotel also has a free shuttle once a day going to and from Pigeon Point Beach which is a nice service.

All in all it was a good and pleasent stay.

“Will go back!!”

Nice, friendly, helpful employees at frontdesk. Clean rooms, (Triny Wing). Maybee one young girl at the restaurant would need to learn how to communicate with guests...Overall - two weeks stay - no complains. We even could stay until 6 pm the day we left!!! No charge.

“Bad Reviews were dead on”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2009

The bad reviews are so true. Apart from the location the service is terrible...especially the front desk staff. My husband made a booking with Rhonda who quoted him the wrong rates. When we got there we met another desk clerk who insisted that we pay the difference and clarify with Rhonda when she came in the next day. She was most unfriendly to the point of accusing us of being dishonest. She called us the next day when Rhonda came in and it appeared as if they had colluded to come up with a response. Rhonda told my husband that he never said that he was travelling with two kids...REALLY!! Is that the best excuse you can come up with? The difference was not a lot and we would have paid it in any event. The whole thing was handled very poorly. Save yourself the hassle book the SANDY POINT BEACH CLUB!!!

“Convinience without the comfort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2009

I stayed in Sandy Point Village for three days. The room was not entirely bad. However, it lacked proper lighting, the kitchen was way too small for the apartment's suggested accommodation size, one bathroom with clogged tub and leaking toilets and insufficient bath towels, which I may add was quite worn out.
The staff at the hotel were not entirely friendly, except for Michelle who may be the reason we stayed there in the first place. Unfortunately, she was not there for our entire stay and further assistance required were quickly shunned by her replacement.
On the other side of the hotel there was a larger, however under-maintained swimming pool and a neglected galley and overlooked beachfront apartments. And this was the far better side.
The best thing about this hotel would have to be the location. Close to the airport, close to the beach and Michelle.
