definitely agree with chickeeta 25 and lifejacketbaby!
poor costomer service and shabby looking lobby because that is as far as we reached! like lifejacketbaby my friends and I had booked in advance and faxed the copy confirming payment. We too didn't walk with the original because the person who took the booking did not tell us it was necesary to walk with it.!
The same person did not tell us that we were not supposed to pay the full amount but only for one night in advance.
They claimed it was their policy that we would have to pay another amount of money until they confirmed that th original deposit was actually paid into the account. This would then be refunded when they received the original copy. We questioned this policy as what was the guarantee to us that we would get our money back bearing in mind thet we were only there for the weekend!

The front desk service was deplorable just as the lobby! Despite many request to speak with the manager we were repeatedly told that he/she was not there! in the final analysis we demanded a refund and this and all was proving to be difficult for them to do, as the owner wasnt there and they didnt know if the bank was open! Bear in mind that banks in Tobago also open the same Friday hours as in Trinidad!
The long and short of it is we were issued a cheque for our full deposit after I had called my bank and they too were able to call their bank to confirm the deposit! We left and went to another more customer friendly establishment with nicer ambieince! (and the cheque did not bounce)

Firstly, when I arrived and saw the exterior of the lobby area it was a sign. This place is run down and the owners don't care to fix it up.

Secondly, in agreeing with other reviews, that I should have read b4 I made the booking, leaking sink, leaking toilet, water in the bedroom apparently from the a/c unit, clogged bathtub, long straight hairs on the sheets (me, my wife and son are black by the way). OMG, the wicker furniture, one couch had a broken leg, the glass on the coffee table was broken. In confirming with the others, yes there is a deposit needed for the use of a taped up remote for a tv that's supposed to show 'satellite tv' but kept showing repeats of bootlegged/pirated movies that were videotaped in a cinema.

Thirdly, onto the dining. So the first evening we reached the dining area at approx 9 pm, only to be told that the we`had to take our order to our rooms cuz the floor and tables were wet from a shower of rain that fell earlier. So we did, bearing in mind that dinner is from 6:30 to 9:30. My wife 's steak was medium, when she ordered well done. I ordered baby back ribs and was later advised there was none, so after looking at the menu again, I ordered pork tenderloin and was later advised that there was none, so then asked the waitress to tell me what they did have, which was certain fish or chicken. Please note that we were still charged a service charge for taking the food to our rooms and was told that was just the policy. So on the second evening we reached at around 8. Once we 'chose' a table an older lady came to give us our menu's at which point I asked for a baby seat for my 7 month old son, which was promptly ignored. After asking for the second time we finally got the baby chair! We placed our orders, I again attempted to order the pork tenderloin, and again was later advised that there wasn't any, only pork in herbs. I requested for some cheese on my baked potato which wasn't there, and when my wife asked for some grated cheese on a side plate we were told that, the kitchen wouldnt do it. Once I started eating I realised that we had been given any napkins, It took about 10 minutes to get someones attention to ask for these, and my request was greeted with some paper napkins and then after asking a 2nd time the cloth napkins appeared.

So other than, a non existent service and a basic room, with ironing board but no iron, washing up liquid but no sponge or cloth to wash the dishes, toaster which could not reach the socket to be plugged in, broken furniture, water on the floor in the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, blocked bath tub so the water didn't drain away when you had a shower, dirty pools, hairs in bed sheets, tv no remote and the phone not working, it was great stay.

“Not so Hot”

My Family and I arrived on the 30th of August and stayed until the 4th of September, Sean who took my reservations was very accurate in detials except after I made the payments he still didn't book us in, we had to rebook when we got there. On our first day we were greeted to three noisy teenagers playing music for the entire block to which we complained and got no results, we were told that we could call security at 805 and guess what, the phone wasn't working. We then found that there was no remote for the televisions in our rooms and that we had to pay a deposit of $100.00 to use it. The pool was extremely nice but also dirty with fallen debris from the trees aboves it. I must say however we were lucky to get a really nice housekeeper who tried to make our visit comfortable. I would only recommend them for sleeping, no family activities or anything else.

“Horrible Horrible Horrible”

I made a booking for two adults and two very young children, the deposit was done via the owners bank account three (3) weeks in advance and a copy was faxed to them indicating that the deposit was made, unfortunately I forgot the original copy of the receipt. When I arrived I was told that I had to pay for the full three(3) nights and I would be refunded only when they received the original receipt. So in other words the faxed copy of the receipt does not suffice as a contract for an initial payment but it works for a confirmed booking. The front desk service by Sean was very distasteful and inconsiderate, who advised that this was their policy. I even had the owner's bank call to advised that a deposit was credited to his account, he refused this. I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANY OF MY FRIENDS TO SAY THERE. Hence, I did NOT even entertain staying and relocated.

“Always a GREAT stay”

My family and I always stay here.....I made my booking early on in the year but was sad that there was no room on the "Trini Side" of the hotel....we prefer this side because the kids can stay in the pool as late as they want without having to worry about the sea breeze giving them the chills....Before checking in though Raina was able to accomodate us with the room of our choice....THANKS RAINA...the place is always clean, staff is friendly and no one bothers you at all. A great location as you can literally walk out to the beach if transport is a problem. See you again....maybe later on this year. :)
