We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with our 12 month old daughter. The hotel was spacious, clean and had all ammenities needed for travel with a little one. The beach was only a few minutes away and in a good location with easy access to local restaurants and attractions. But the true gem of this hotel was the staff. They are exceptional and make this hotel a place you never want to leave!! Our daughter fell off a chair hitting her head and the owner jumped up and drove us to both the clinic and hospital giving hours of her time so selflessly and was genuinely concerned for the welfare of our daughter. They went above and beyond in every aspect, and you will not be dissappointed if you stay at this hotel.

I found the Bananaquit last minute and the lady who runs it was actually from Canada like me. She was very accomodating, and I arrived in Tobago 5 hours earlier than expected... she still set me up in a room. I got the feeling though that it was not the room I was supposed to be in. It was pretty basic and had room for a lot more people. The room was comfortable, my only issues were that those wonderful trini ants were all inside the toaster oven and the kitchen counter, so I had to keep everything in the fridge. And the bathroom was not that great.

Other than that the location was good, the owners were very nice and the bed was pretty comfy. Also you were permitted to use the swimming pool of the hotel next door, because they own that hotel as well.

We had a ground floor apartment which was a good size and OK for self-catering. Friendly owners. Apartments are 5 minute walk from the airport and handy for restaurants, supermarket and take aways. Very quiet at night. Apartments overlook small garden and at the back was a field of goats.

We were specifically looking for a holiday apartment and not a hotel because of the convenience of having a kitchen. In Tobago most beach properties are regular hotels. Bananaquit has a really good location near to great beaches as well as convenience stores etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable and staff were always available.
