My husband and I recently returned from a ski adventure in Japan. This is not a common destination for people from Los Angeles but we thought we would give it a try. We stayed at the Niskeo Alpen for 3 nights. Our room was functional yet a bit small but not a problem. The daily buffet breakfast ,which was part of our room rate, was nice. It was a combination of Western and Japanese food. The location of the hotel is truly ski in/out. It was fantastic to be so close to the lift. The ski locker room is right there as well. The staff was very accomodating. They all spoke a litte English. The onsen and pool area is really nice. It is just below the lobby and such a treat after a full day of skiing. The sushi restaurant in the hotel was very nice. All the food in this town was delicious. We booked our trip through Ski Japan.com. They did an amazing job with airport transfers, ski rental and the hotel booking. I highly recommend them. The skis we rented were 2010 and were in great condition almost new. I hightly suggest this hotel for convenience to the lift. You do have to walk down the street to dine but it was no problem as the town is small
