I stayed here last weekend and was delighted with the quality of room, especially for the price (about 40 euros). The room was very comfortable and the owners were very helpful. Also, no language barrier here; they speak French, English and German. The hotel atmosphere was very warm and inviting; I really looked forward to going back and relaxing after a full day of biking and exploring. The hotel has a restaurant with a quiet outdoor seating area that is perfect for a glass of wine and relaxing with a good book. The restaurant itself was terrific and very reasonably priced, especially considering the high-end selection, ambience and quality of service. Crisp table cloths, candles and a full course dinner service - I will definitely be taking my husband back here for a romantic dinner. Morsbronn Les Bains is about 10 minutes from Haguenau and has a completely different feel to it; it is incredibly peaceful and is hardly a tourist trap. I found the people genuine and very friendly. The owners of the Ritter Hoft hotel were cut from this cloth; it is owned by a lovely family with three of the most well-behaved (AND tri-lingual) young boys. They may as well have been Von Trapps - they were just charming; there is no other word. I very much enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back for another visit.
