Surprised there is only a few reviews on this hostel. It is well written up by Lonely Planet and deservedly so, it is very, very good. Practically new the stonework is superb, the room I had I managed to jag a dorm by myself, in May, and in beautiful weather. And at the foot of the mountain so what a view to wake up to. Kind of a shame I was by myself really! Facilities are top rate, kitchen and dining are very spacious and the design of the building allows maximum natural light and heat in, obviously built with the cold weather in mind, very smart. Yes you should bring supplies with you as there is limited town amenities, but certainly enough to make yourself a meal and have a few drinks - try the Leo pub as recommended by Lonely Planet, only a short drive away, full of characters and even better if you are a Clannard or Enya tragic. And of course - climb the mountain, it is not hard and begs to be scaled, try and avoid the boggy bits. Great place, a highlight of my two weeks in Ireland. Washing room also very good.
