Checked into this hotel under a false impression (given by iGo8 navigation program) that there were no hotels in the old town on the hill. Can't tell anything bad about the hotel itself (except for free WiFi that was declared but did not work for me) but if you're in Ainsa for sightseeing, by all means seek accommodation in the old town on the hill.

I booked this hotel for a one night stay in August, and it turned out to be perfect! It is in the modern part of Ainsa, but right across the road are the stairs leading to the old village. The hotel itself is modern and clean. Our room was not large (although our bathroom was huge!) but it was big enough for the two of us, with a nice comfortable bed. We had a cute little balcony and our windows included those shutters we seemed to see all over Spain. We knew the pool on the roof was small, but it is perfect with an amazing view of mountains and the river. (one of the rivers, I guess.) There is a nice patio area with a table and chairs outside near the pool as well. The common area inside is spectacular! Really cozy, and really gorgeous. If we had more time (or if it rained) we really would have enjoyed using it. Oh, and yes, there is a main street outside, but we didn't notice it at all during the night.

The staff was friendly and efficient. I even left a dress behind and they posted it to me in Canada.

I would definitely not hesitate to book Hotel Dos Rios for another stay in Ainsa. And the town itself ... well ... you will have to see it yourself ... well worth a trip or two!

We stayed here one night after spending a day hiking in the Ordessa park and wanting to end up closer to our next day destination of Barcelona. Check in and booking all went well. The room was small but clean with a very comfortable king (two large twins) bed. The best part was the roof top deck with the teeny tiny but refreshing pool and chairs all taking advantage of the great view of the surrounding mountains and the two rivers.

The hotel is in a busy commercial part of town, facing a busy stret, but very convienent . There was a grocery store around the corner to pick up cheap cold beer and snacks, and fixings for the next days picnic lunch, along with a good wine selection. Across the corner was a wine shop and a gourmet food shop. The walled midievil section of town was a ten minute walk that you must do. It is like being in another world compared to the rest of town. Buildings from the 1200s, a nice church, great views of the surrounding mountains, and a great selection of restaurants on the square.
We had one of the best meals of our trip at a restaurant on the square that has one menu - a tasting menu of multi multi courses including a cocktail for 29E pp. We had a great local red for 19E; it was so good I can;t remember the name of the restaurant - it was three short syllables, tables outside and in. Very creative food and presentations.

Walking back down the stairs out of the old part of town(no vehicles) was a shock once you heard the city noise. We did not eat breakfast (7E pp)at the hotel, instead buying a piece of tortilla(fried egg and potato omelet type dish) and a coffee to go for 3E at the attached cafeteria.

We paid 65E in off season which was one of the cheapes hotels on our trip and I feel it was a good value for the price paid. It left us money do eat very well!
