“Beautiful surroundings and such lovely people.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 June 2011

Myself, my 5 year old son and our friend had the pleasure of 2 nights at Netherfield. When I say pleasure it really was a fantastic pleasure to stay in Jan and Grants beautiful home. The welcome we recieved was first class and this care continued throughout our stay especially where my wee boy was concerned. The breakfasts were superb and set us up for the day. I would thoroughly recommend staying at Netherfield for the warmth and hospitality shown by both Jan and Grant. We will certainly be back.

“Simply heavenly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2011

The bathroom was spacious & clean to our surprise. the hot water & heating was sufficient & ample which was very important to us with young children. every morning, we woke up with a view of the garden & the wild birds, red squirrels which were frequent visitors to the owners' lovely garden.

Jan & Grant also had plenty of knowledge & recommendations of what to do & where to eat for those with young children. we were also pleasantly surprised that we could have wireless access when all the other more modern, city accommodation we stayed at provided no free access at all. extra thumbs up for providing this service!

“As good as before”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

This was our second four night visit to Nerthefield and as in 2008 Grant and Jan put themselves out to make our stay very enjoyable. Our room and en suite were excellent and Grant's breakfasts perfectly cooked. It must be the best place by far to stay in the area. We will be returning to try to see the dotterel!

“Enjoy the tranquility at Netherfield B&B!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2011

We spent two nights at Netherfield B&B in April and really enjoyed the tranquility of the place and the area. Jan and Grant were marvelous hosts who really made us feel welcome.

The room was spacious with great views of the garden and the mountains. We caught a glimpse of a pair of the famous red squirrels from our windows. The breakfast was absolutely lovely and served in a charming room.

We enjoyed an evening meal at Riverside restaurant, a five minute walk from the B&B. Excellent food, wine and atmosphere.

Thanks Jan and Grant for your tips about the area that made our stay even more pleasant!
