Arriving late in AMS or wanting to leave early from there, who wouldn't want to stay directly at the airport. Two choices you have, approximately 500m from the main airport lobby you have the Sheraton - no need go leave the terminal - and one and on half km away from the main lobby there is the Hilton. Not only farther away but also down a steel stair and across a dimly lit parking lot exposed to the elements. Earlier this week that ment well below freezing point...

The bigger problem: I didn't see that anything was done to this place in terms of upgrade or basic upkeep since I stayed here 10 years ago. Boy had I forgotten how bad it was! Small rooms, badly noise insulating connecting rooms to the adjacent room, no windows to open, no AC but just heat on or off - thus, sleeping in a hot house with stale air...

The carpets were old 10 years ago, now they are "rotten" - the room smells like Museum or historic European palace.

Unless you have any sort of package, breakfast and internet will make you pay through the nose, one gadget at the time. I just have to imaging going here as a family, 5 i-gadgets plus business computer gets you to pay for basic contemporary connectivity and breakfast at the same amount that the rate of the room is. In my mind that is train robbery and should be punished by law.

Bed and bathroom seem to be same generation as the carpets.

There is nothing that justifies the room rate nor the negligent upkeep othe than being in walking distance from the terminal...

Treated royally and so convenient to airport. Airport has a freat shopping mall and when the weather is bad there is always that to go to.

We stayed just one night at this Hilton and it is one of the nicer Hilton's that I've been too. I like Hilton's though and stay at them for work all the time. They had a late night room service menu which hungry travelers appreciate. Our room was a king, very nice, clean and comfortable. No problems at all over my stay. The shuttle in the morning was very quick and easy to ride to the airport. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for one night due a transit flight at schipol. Other airport hotels in schipol are easier to walk and access but hilton is farthest of all in terms of walking to extreme corner of airport with heavy bags. there is no pick up bus unlike other hotels (dorint etc). Rooms and hotel services are bit dissapointly old style and very small in size. internet is very expensive so check if business booking includes an internet deal included.
