We were very pleased with the room and hospitality extended to us, with a friendly welcome and tour of the property, complimentary tea and cakes on arrival. Rooms were spotless and bed very comfortable.
However, we were given the impression that the downstairs loungeroom with TV were specifically for guests. We booked out all three rooms with our friends, and when we came back from an evening meal, we were ready to continue socialising with our friends in the lounge and continue watching an important AFL game on the TV. However, the hosts were in the guest lounge watching the TV. No TV in rooms so went to bed. Hall lights turned off, so we couldn't see to find our rooms.

I stayed with my partner over a 3 day period in the King Size room, which had disability enabled ensuite and plenty of room to move about. The room was immaculate with extra pillows, electric blanket, linen was clean and comfortable and rooms were gorgeous and recently painted with updated furnishings. Ensuite was huge! Our room was also right near the spa room, so we made good use of that!

This B&B is in perfect location for any golfers out there, as its directly opposite the Howlong golf course, its also a short walk to the river for any fishermen out there. The owners know quite a lot about the area, so if you're looking for something to do, they can point you in the right direction! (EG. Chocolate and whisky factory...yum!) But if you dont feel like doing anything, then Stableford house has ample garden to explore, and relax in. Lots of hidden corners of the garden, and while we were there the owners were in the process of creating a pond water feature, which should be beautiful when its finished.

Another benefit of staying here, besides the hospitality and service, was that there is an on site qualified masseuse! Very relaxing.

After 3 days there, I dont really have any complaints. Only that we had to leave!

Stableford house has come into new ownership in the last 18months and the new owners have done a wonderful job making the place feel welcoming, updated and comfortable. I'd highly recommend staying there.

Rooms were quite large, and beds were really comfortable, with extra pillows on hand. Rooms had their own private ensuite, which were huge and immaculately clean. Even had a hair dryer! All rooms opened onto the verandah area, and had views of the expansive gardens, which you could explore and relax in. Golf course is just across the road, so location wise its great if you're a golf lover! Hosts were very friendly and knew a lot about the area, and offer good advice on what to see and do during your stay. Perfect little hideaway.

This place is lovely. It's purpose built so no small dingy rooms here. All the bedrooms are very big and roomy each with their own french doors out to the verandah. All the rooms have spacious ensuites, as well at the end of the corrdor is a separate spa room. Two rooms have queen beds and the third is a king that can be converted to 2 singles. There is a lovely loungeroom and spacious dining area. all for the exclusive use of guests as the owners have their own residences upstairs.

Two couples have recently taken over and have been working hard improving it even more. Phil and Jane were there when we were, and were just so helpful and accommodating.
