I've used Premier Inns throughout the UK. This is one of the best, especially the service in the restaurant. All their employees are very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in premier Inn Polegate for a birthday party close by had a great nights sleep for a great price.

This is a great premier Inn and will stay again when visiting Family at Eastbourne. Food next door (Treacle Mine) was good both in the evening and in the morning, service could have been a bit faster, but it was Christmas break so no-one seemed to be in a hurry. Two real ales on tap for the beer drinkers. Nice omlettes with breakfast, suggest you try that instead of normal fried eggs. Very friendly staff on reception. We didn't even get disturbed by the new year party in the treacle mine, so sound insulation must be very good.
This hotel is located at the Polegate services on the A22, there is a well stocked Co-op within 100 yards for all those things you forgot too bring.
This is an older Inn, you know proper keys and CRT TV's, but everything was clean and fresh as if re-furbished.
Only two minor niggles stopped it being marked excellent: Dusting left a bit to be desired, there was a cobweb over the lamps and the bed protector had a stain on it. Both quickly sorted out.

We turned up at the hotel with no booking on a Saturday night (another local hotel had let us down) we were not only able to have a room but also a room on the ground floor. Bliss! We had a great nights sleep and a wonderful breakfast the next morning.
The staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
This is the hotel we are staying in for our Son's wedding next year so it was great to be able to try it out before all the family and friends arrived.
