Quiet and comfortable and the star is Justina who manages the house who cannot do too much for guests. The house needs investment - the bedroom windows appear not to open and are old and grubby. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was below average (not sumptuous as advertised), rather poor coffee, no fruit or yogurts.

My wife and I and our two dogs stayed at The Plaine for three nights to celebrate the New Year. We could not have been happier with our stay. The room was comfortable and the service was outstanding. The manager, Justina, was amazing and made us feel right at home. She also made a great breakfast, and went as far as making some extra sausages for the dogs. Norton St Philip is an adorable village with easy access to Bath, but we recommend eating and spending some time at the Fleur de Lys pub just across the street.

This place was amazing! Justina went out of her way to make our New Years Weekend wonderful! The property is beautiful and the location was very good to get in and out of Bath.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Guesthouse for my partners birthday. A nice place made lovely by the host (manageress I think) Justina, she simply couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect thank you so much Justina! We were supposed to be Glassblowing at the nearby Liquid Glass Centre but they cancelled the course without telling us then refused to offer us compensation so please be warned! Plaine and The George over the road, very nice!
