My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights over the 2011 Thanksgiving Break. It was totally decked out for Christmas, complete w/ holiday music. As Americans away from home, it felt totally inviting and got us into the Christmas spirit. Due to the time of our visit, there was no outdoor swimming or hot tub and they are NOT on the beach, like we thought. However, there was an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, complete w/ an excellent fitness center. The hours of the fitness room were a bit strange. As for being close to anything else, well, it isn't. Although, if you have traveled to Okinawa, you know that getting on the toll road can take you fairly easily and reasonably to and from other places of interest. You do need a car! Additionally, I think there was only one station in English to watch on the TV. So, the beautifully decorated lobby became our hangout! With a comfortable bar right there, it was a lovely place to sit, sip a drink and soak in the view. As for our room, we could sit in an extention and look out to sea and read our books! The room itself was very clean and beautiful. The beds were still very Asian and a bit harder than what we Americans are use to. We did eat at the pricey restaurants and they were delicious. The "American BBQ" was not very "American" though. The service was excellent even though there was very little English spoken. The concierge spoke very good English and was very helpful. There is a spa available, but we felt that was a bit more than we wanted to pay. However, for a quiet, calming get away, we loved our time there. We did not have high expectations for entertainment and wanted a clean, lovely spot and that is what we got!
