My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in late August. I was a bit worried because all the reviews I could find were in Japanese (except one) and I didn't really know what to expect. It ended up being a good choice. Be warned that the name of the hotel is written in katakana only, so you may want to learn how it's written to find it more easily (it's a big hotel and very easy to find, but if it's your first time there, even with a GPS, you may be confused because the entrance way to the hotel is very narrow and not that obvious).
The room was not super modern, but it was clean and had all we needed. The size was also a bit bigger compared to other rooms we've seen in Japan (we had twin beds). The staff was nice and their English was good enough. The coin laundry was super useful, but strangely located in the dressing room of the public baths on the 9th floor (there's one for women and one for men). If you want to use it, you may need to ask for the key at the front desk as the rooms obviously need to be locked at all time. All the instructions are in Japanese only, but those machines are never complicated to use.
There is a small parking lot and we never had problems finding an empty spot, but it might get crowded during high season. Also, we were there during a level 2 typhoon (nearly 3) and the hotel is definitely well built to withstand tropical storms (in case anyone's worried about that :P).
