“Fab!”

An excellent base for some wonderful coastal walks. I would bestow the untimate accolade - I would recommend it to my mother! Clean and attractive, yet practical for walkers with muddy boots! A marvellous breakfast and, if you hate waste, you can request only one sausage, piece of bacon etc. Fresh milk in the room, no horrid UHT or wasteful milk packaging. And, of course, David and Eleanor are wonderful hosts. Interested and interesting. We have visited many times and have never been disappointed.
The only improvement I might suggest is some guest reviews of local walks that we could put on the website or leave with David and Eleanor, just because we have made some lucky decisions regarding timing and weather conditions such as getting to the coast just when the dolpins were due (they have their little routine) and doing a very sheltered walk when the weather was not great.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a conservatory and patio so are the best rooms for those without very small children...

“We will definitely return...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

We stayed at Canaston Oaks on a recent trip to West Wales. It was a last minute decision to celebrate our 1st anniversary but what a great decision. It is the perfect getaway; luxury rooms with warm welcoming owners who couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend Canaston Oaks to anyone who is looking to stay in West Wales.

Room Tip: They are all nice! But give them a call in advance - lovely owners

“Excellent - Just what we needed.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

Looked at a lot of places to stay in the Pembrokeshire area and finally settled with Canaston Oaks after reading the reviews on here and very glad I did. Everything is as you would expect from a 5* and the location perfect if your looking for somewhere quiet to get away from it all. Our room overlooked the nearby fields and had a nice patio. Wish we had stayed in the summer so we could have made full use of it but it was nice and warm inside and our room had a jacuzzi bath. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

“Fantastic B&B!”

We stayed this week for two nights, as a bit of a last minute trip to get away from it all. We love Pembrokeshire and have stayed in several different places over the years, a number of which near Narberth. Our stay at Caneston Oaks was the best, by a significant margin. It was so peaceful and quiet but in a great spot for exploring, we loved it!

We stayed in the Yr Onnen (Ash) room, which was huge and perfectly laid out. A big comfy sofa, fireplace and underfloor heating throughout the bedroom and separate kitchen area was really cosy. So much so that we actually stayed in both nights with a takeaway rather than eating out. A real rarity for us and frankly with a massive selection of DVD's to choose from we couldn't imagine anything better.

Eleanor and David were fantastic hosts, welcoming us on arrival and each morning for breakfast, they could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was superb, with all you would expect plus the 'full welsh' to set you up for the day.

We could not recommend this place any more highly, brilliant!

“Fantastic quality B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

A little picturesque gem tucked away off the A40, the quality of the rooms was astounding - we took the family suite as we had our 14 year old daughter with us and she raved about too!
Breakfast was also superb, we had the fresh fruit followed by full English - traditional farmhouse breakfast perfectly prepared by our hosts.
Well worth 5 stars!

Room Tip: Take the kids - the 'Birch Room' offers privacy for you and them in sumptuous luxury
