We have stayed at Tyrolean every February for our annual winter girls-only getaway 5 times now, since February 2008. This takes a bit of planning as we are a large group of women (14-18 of us each year!). We have had several different chalets, some with bunk beds for 4, some with double beds, some with the sauna/hot tub and some without it. Each time we have a blast and find everything we need at Tyrolean Village.

There is a great fireplace for winter stays, bring some wood that you can buy on the way up. The common living space is huge and comfy, the table is huge and can fit all of us every time! There is a TV and DVD player, and we usually bring our own CD player.

The kitchens usually have everything we need in terms of utensils, plates, pots and pans, but we bring our own paper plates, dish towels, foil, paper towel, and any specialty things you might need like a blender or a crock pot. There is a great balcony/deck and depending on the chalet you book, you can get a ping pong table/bar area on the lower floor.

The chalets are a quick walk to the village or a very short cab ride if you want to go out at night as a group. I loved the sauna and hot tub option, very relaxing to hop in and spend some time relaxing.

We once had a problem with our fireplace, we moved something and the smoke was coming in! We just called and someone came in 5 mins to help us.

Can't wait to go again this weekend!

PROS: This was my second stay at the village. Very bright and sunny. Very romantic ambiance with the fire place, mountain view and very nice leather furniture. Very happy it is pet friendly. During the night i could hear dishes rattle; thought there was a ghost but it was just a lost mouse. CONS Beds were outdated and room were damp so we slept up stairs. I just wish the pool was open and wish I was told about the private beach upon check in. It was the last morning when I learned of it and the gate was across along with instructions that I needed a wrist band. ALL IN ALL It is great property and has much more potential. I'll be back and will stay at an upgraded chalet.

Had an amazing time at Tyrolean Village. Went with my husband and our 2 dogs because it was pet friendly and were very impressed with the chalet. Spacious and clean indoors and out. Easy access to Blue Mountain village as well. and short drive to downtown Collingwood. First visit and would definatly return !!!

The chalet was better than we hoped for. The staff were very accomodating as we didn't get there until 8 pm on the friday. It was nice and secludeed from the other chalets, so noise didn't travel from site to site. I will definitely be going back.
