On check in (in the restaurant), we found that the staff were pleasant. When entering the hotel itself, it is unclear that the key fob attached to the key ring with room key on it is required to open the front door, and this was not explained at check in. Overall, the rooms were clean and of an acceptable standard. However, in our room the mirror was off the wall, lying on the floor, with the holes for fixings on the all exposed. There was also some evidence of dampness on the ceiling that had not been addressed. Also, the kettle provided did not work properly - the water coming out of the tap was hotter than the water in the kettle after it had 'boiled'.
The breakfast was of a good standard, with a good continental breakfast range on offer on the buffet. However, there were only a few cups and glasses put out at a time for juice/tea and coffee, and these were slow to be replaced after used.
Overall, a pleasant stay.
