I stayed here purely because of the conference I attended was here.

The hotel is in a pleasant setting and the staff are friendly enough.

The room was expensive but was more like a suite, although not necessarily worth the money and more could be made of the place in terms of decor. There is a balcony to the room but the views were uninspiring. Room was quiet.

I would recommend avoiding room service as the creme brule was solid.

Just back from a wondeful family gathering at this hotel. This was the second visit in 12 months. The first visit was faultless and despite a few niggles this visit was excellent overall. The things which prevented this review receving an excellent rating were the difficulties with the room bills. We had booked 7 rooms and all of them were incorrect. The restaurant food in the main was disappointing, one meal was inedible due to the sausage being hard. One meal was a steak which had to go back due to it being cold. The lamb shank lacked flavour. We were told that there were only 7 staff to cater for 140 covers. The only other small gripes relate to the mattress, which although generally comfortable, it was a little lumpy and this was noted by a number of people in the group. Finally there was a great deal of noise in the corridor with somebody waking up every body in our party some time after three by knocking on doors. (11 people in 7 different rooms) Whilst this is not the Hotel's fault it was none the less extremely annoying.

I will return to the Hotel, but I dont think I would advise eating in the restaurant if you like good food, we stayed in one of the group's sister hotels in Warwick/Leamington Spa and the restaurant there was of a much higher standard.

spa- pool disgraceful, went for a swim on friday night - most of the locker were brocken with keys snapped in them , one locker door was hanging off and is an accident waiting to happen ,

floor was unclean with dust balls under the the benchs , shower area was also unclean and their was a strong smell of urine coming from shower cubicles , maybe due to the shower drainholes being clogged with hair and not draining quickly enough,

the pool - basicaly more of the same poolside unclean , water in pool didnt look clear and had a sour smell,

steam room sorry same same not clean - their was a guy in their shaving himself yuck...

....
we were prepared to give pool and second chance as i thought we were being a bit harsh due to our last visit being on a friday night ans maybe cleaners etc werent on duty ..so we returned on saturday afternoon .. and to my horror nothing had changed the dust balls were still rolling around in changing room getting bigger by the minute, the smell was still their and pool side,water and steam room were in same state , shaving guy was gone lol , but not sure all of him was ..yuck

so to recap hotel , staff , rooms . food great - but someone really needs to look at the health club -

Had a lovely upgraded room with double glass doors bath and sep.shower beds really comfy. Good pool and spa would definately return
