“Our Wedding Reception”

Not only is this a stunning hotel with lovely large clean rooms, superb grounds and views that could take your breathe away but the fabulous team of staff that go above and beyond really made our stay something special.

The hotel was ideally situated for our wedding breakfast after marrying at Eilean Donan castle and Michelle and her team not only catered for our every requirement (including some odd requests along the way) but made our entire wedding party feel at home right from the word go! Our Wedding Breakfast and the rest of the evening (and in fact the entire weekend) was a fantastic success...we simply couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you to Michelle and the fabulous team at Kintail Lodge for all your help in making our Wedding day simply perfect; from the table decorations to the incredible food and the amazing attentive staff who put up with a few rather tipsy members of our party throughout the evening not forgetting organising the fantastic Celtic Horizons band for our evening entertainment.

We will be back again to celebrate our anniversary no doubt!

Room Tip: Every room is great but if you can get one overlooking the loch at the back of the hotel then you wi...

“A Scottish Highland Hotel to be proud of !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Have known this hotel for many years and seen lots of owners come and go. At last the present owners have had the vision and put in the hard work to make this gem of a hotel everything it deserves to be. You can have the best location, and wonderful views but it takes more than that to create an appealing place that you would want to return to again and again. We can say no more than read the other reviews which sum up what the Kintail Lodge is all about. I could repeat the glowing reviews but all we can say is that we totally agree with all the positive feedback they have received. We are looking forward to our next stay there in the not too distant future.

“Great last minute find. Stay was wonderful and owner is a gem.”

Found this gem last minute via Trip Advisor while looking for a hotel in the Kyle of Lochalsh area. Stayed one night.
High points:
1. Wonderful, helpful, warm and friendly owner.
2. Great dinner. Started with the scallops which were excellent. Then on to the whole roasted seabass special which was wonderful. Salad was excellent.
3. Several nice lounge spaces accessible for guests.
4. View of the Loch was excellent! Ask for a loch view room.
5. Room was more spacious than most, tidy and with a nice bathroom. "American" ;-) approved hot water access.
6. Location is great for Kintail and Glen Shiel hills and Eilan Donan Castle.
7. Car park and bar were great.

I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Cheers.

“A really good dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

We enjoyed a drink in the lively bar and were then taken to the lounge which has a welcoming open fire. We chose to have our meal in the conservatory restaurant which has lovely views across the loch. (You can eat in the bar if you prefer) Staff were friendly, attentive without being obtrusive and efficient. Menu has a sensible sized choice of dishes, all of which looked tempting. All courses that we eventually chose were excellent. A very relaxing experience all round. What more could you wish for?

“Genuine, welcoming, fantastic views & great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

What a lovely place to stay! My wife and I enjoyed a great weekend here this summer. The hotel is owner-run, and this tells in the quality of service you receive and the obvious effort and pride they put into making your stay enjoyable. The owner, Michele, works like ten men and is never to be seen moving at less than an energetic zip. The staff are very friendly and treat guests with the relaxed efficiency that is, sadly, all too rare in this day and age of chain hotels and impersonal "hospitality graduates".
Well-cooked, local food is served in either the atmospheric bar or the stunning conservatory. On a fine evening the later provides some of the finest tables on the west coast. During our stay we enjoyed beautiful, local seafood, home-made puddings and one of the tastiest steaks I've had in years.
Our room was a good size, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated to incorporate modern standards with a traditional Highland lodge feel. We were interested to note that they also have bunkhouse accommodation, which coupled with the bar has the potential to offer a fantastic weekend walking trip with friends.
All in all we loved this hotel; it is a great place to relax, the locals in the bar were good fun and very welcoming - just like the staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the loch - stunning.
