Stayed here for two nights at the end of April. We picked this B & B as it was the closest to Eilean Donan Castle, about a hundred yards away.
We read some of the dodgy reviews but decided to go anyway and make our own minds up. So glad we did as the room was superb, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, and what a view from the room window. We looked straight out at the castle. Absolutely stunning.
Could not fault the place and the cooked breakfast was superb. The couple who run the boarding house aren't the most talkative of hosts, but were still very nice and friendly. Would recommend staying here for the view alone.

Having travelled throughout Scotland , we can honestly state, our stay at Donan House,
was perfect in every way.
The location itself is wonderful.
The room with its marvelous view of the castle and loch was spacious and had all the comforts you would expect, with a superb en-suite.
The breakfast was excellent.
The friendly welcome and atmosphere thus generated is outstanding.
And at the rates charged, well worth the money.
WE recommend a stay here to one and all.

My friend and I stayed at this B&B for one night only and were puzzled about the hosts' attitude. When we arrived we were asked to remove our shoes (which I understood perfectly as the rooms have white carpets!) The gentleman brought our luggage up the stairs to our room and was very talkative. in the morning he just sat there at his desk at the bottom of the stairs and let us struggle with our luggage. He accepted the money and hardly said anything more and so we were left in the hallway to close the frontdoor ourselves! Strange ! Continental breakfast was sober and limited and had only white toast.

We stayed a this fantastic B & B for three nights 31 May, 1 and 2 June 2011. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and spotless. A generous cooked breakfast was offered and our hosts even went to the trouble of getting some excellent Stornoway black pudding for us. Cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts were also available and extra tea/coffee and toast were offered without us having to ask.

The location is perfect with great views and easy access to Eilean Donan Castle and two great local pubs serving excellent, reasonably priced food. (1.5 minutes walk away).

Both the hosts, Jim and Dot, were very sociable and offered helpful advice about the local area. When I asked they were more than happy to allow me access to their WiFi.

Highly recommended.
