Four of us stayed for two nights (I could have stayed here for my entire 2 week trip) in early January 2012. What a marvelous surprise. The Manor is located high above Gordon's Bay on a very quiet street. On street parking was no problem and always available.
Our rooms were very clean and well appointed with wonderful mattresses, linens and towels. Our bathroom was directly across the hall from our room..not an issue; my parents had a suite and ensuite bath as well. Our outside balcony overlooked False Bay and the view was phenomenal. My sister said it reminded her of Monte Carlo!
Each morning a continental breakfast of cereals/granola/wholegrain rolls & breads, a selections of jams/jellies and juices is offered. We were also offered a full hot breakfast. What a treat to wake up, eat a delicious breakfast and overlook False Bay.
Unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of the spa offerings as we were gone most of the days touring. Lounging by the pool in late afternoon was a real treat.
The owners were very much hands on and the staff are very gracious. We would recommend Celtic Manor as a place to relax and explore Cape Town, Hermanus, Somerset West and the surrounding wine country.
