“Very highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 March 2010

Our family of four stayed at Lyth Hill House for two nights in March 2010.
Clive and Gwendda were there to greet our arrival even though we were quite late arriving on a Friday evening. Immediate impressions were good, we were made very welcome and felt very comfortable right from the moment we stepped inside this lovely house.
Our rooms were well furnished and very clean. A good selection of refreshments were available in each room. There was a good size flatscreen tv with access to sky channels if we wanted them. Moving on to the beds....wow, what very comfortable and clean beds we had. The double bed was a good size and we slept very well. Infact it was a shame to have to get out in the mornings! BUT....If I had not got out of bed, I would have missed a lovely pre-breakfast swim in the indoor pool. The pool was nicely heated, there was a changing room with shower available, plus a real big bonus of bath sheets and robes available to wrap yourself in after the swim.
Clive and Gwendda provided the best breakfast we have had in any guest house. Nothing was too much trouble, the choice was superb and fresh baked bread rolls too!
We would highly recommend Lyth Hill House, it's peaceful location and wonderful accommodation, along with the charming Clive and Gwendda, made it a 5 star stay for us. Thank you.

“Birthday weekend of luxury and relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2009

My wife treated me to a long weekend at this B&B near Shrewsbury, utter luxury. Clive and Gwendda are convivial hosts and their dog Benson is friendly too. The B&B is spotlessly clean, no request was too much trouble. A dip in the pool each morning before a sumptious breakfast (we rarely ate for the rest of the day), a whirlpool bath each night, before tumbling into a seriously comfortable bed. Beautiful countryside surrounds the B&B, weather was not very kind to us for our stay, but what can you expect from the UK in November. Serious relaxation on a mega chill-out weekend. Can't wait to go back!

“Fried Bread to Die For.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2009

I am a wheelchair user confined to wheelchair can not walk. We arrived at Lyth Hill to warm greetings from Dave & Heather, And tea and Shrewsbury biscuits our hosts were marvelous and the biscuits beautiful.
We had a wonderful week-end and the breakfasts were brilliant and the fried bread was to die for we would highly recomend this beautiful B & B can not wait to visit again.
It was so nice to be able to get into the garden via ramped access from the lounge and bedroom and lounge and dining room all on ground level and so wheelchair friendly.

“Utter Luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2008

We stayed at Lyth Hill Luxury B&B for a very short break. We had been working very hard, and as it was my husbands birthday, we decided to get away from it all and relax.
On arriving at Lyth Hill we were warmly greeted by Heather and Dave, and served with a lovely pot of tea and some home made shrewsbury biscuits. We were shown around the bed and breakfast, and made to feel at home. The garden was lovely, we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful array of flowers, and the birds who were constantly visiting the well stocked bird table.
The breakfast was better than any we have had ever. Having toured the world, I would say it really was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for Heather and Dave, and by the time we were ready to leave, and head home, we felt relaxed and rested, and very happy that we had found such a lovely place to unwind.
We would highly reccommend a visit, You will not regret it, !!!!!!!!!

“TOP CLASS B&B ACCOMMODATION”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2006

Lyth Hill House is a b&b accommodation set in a lovely position overlooking the beautiful shropshire countryside. This little gem is a must for those who wish to get away from it all and enjoy the warm hospitality of hosts Heather and Dave. The cooked breakfast will keep you going all day. Another nice little touch was the free chilled mineral water on tap 24hrs a day.

We were made to feel very welcome from the onset and our room was first class. Not only did we have our own private patio giving direct access to a wonderful garden, but a seperate spa bath/jacuzzi in our room.

The hotel has its own heated swimming pool for guests to enjoy free of charge, and as a maximum of only 6 guests are there at any one time you virtually have it all to yourself.

Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who have won numerous awards in the travel industry. I cannot reccomend this enough. It is an ideal base for touring all that Shropshire has to offer. Ludlow is about 40 minutes drive away travelling south and is a lovely little market town.
A 30 minute drive in the other direction takes you to the welsh borders which is very scenic.

The beds were the most comfortable i've ever slept in. There is free internet access and the hosts are only too willing to advise on sights to see and the best walking routes in the area.

If you are looking for an ideal stress free weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life then be sure to book into this peaceful haven. Spoil yourself and stay in room 3 with its jacuzzi and very large bathroom.

We will definitely return to this accommodation as it was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Trust me it is fantasic value for money.
