Really nice lodge feeling condo. Great staff that made sure everything was perfect. Condo was in good shape with everything we needed for an awesome ski vacation Would highly recommend a stay. Taos is great and the bear is a fun place to stay. Bring your 4x4. Driveway is a bear! Hey. That's we're the name came from.

This is the best place to stay at TSV! The location - can't be beat. We saw wildlife from the patio, skied in/out with ease and went sleding on the nearby hill. Centrally located and incredibly easy to navigate. But, don't worry, if you have troubles the owners/staff are there to help. And they DID help in every way to make our family stay enjoyable and comfortable. They shuttled us around, arranged to get us ski equipment, passes and offered us recomendations on where to have dinner and go out. Even though our room was equiped with a kitchen, another great amenity when traveling with small children, we still enjoyed visiting the nearby Ski Village. The rooms were spacious, clean and decorated in style. And Kigh Tech - super cool shower with 6 different settings - that alone was worth the drive. We arrived at the codo after a full day of skiing in TSV. The manager had been very helpful over the phone so we were a bit surprised that he didn't help us with our many bags and heavy ski equipment from the car, across a building and up two flights of stairs. He stayed on his cell phone the whole time we were schlepping our stuff, and we are over 50 years old.

The room was attractive with a full kitchen, leather sofa, gas fireplace, and a nice tv. My main complaint was cleanliness. There were dust bunnies in the corners and hair on the bathroom floor. The little bathroom rug looked dirty. Some of the bowls in the kitchen cabinet were not completely clean. The conforter for the pull-down bed was in need of a good cleaning.

The pull down bed was a surprise. It turned out to be comfortable, but the linens were old and scratchy.
The bathroom had a fancy sink and a jet bathrub. The plug for the bathtub let quite a bit of water run out which is a shameful waste. The fancy looking shower with body sprays did not work right. The price was good, but this unit needs some TLC.

I stayed at the Snow Bear in December for a Family reunion ski trip We had a blast.. I had my nieces and nephews with me and we took them sledding every day right in front of the Snow Bear We had more fun there sledding than we did tubing with the Ski valley. The lodge has a great ski in ski out access trail that we used every day. The kids are just learning so they used the hugely convenient complimentary shuttle provided by the Snow Bear. We never waited more than a couple of minutes since it was only for the Snow Bear people Our apartment was comfortable, charmingly decorated and clean. It truly was home away from home (but much cleaner... lol) The service was outstanding and they really made us feel like we were being cared for. I would definitely recommend this lodge and can't wait to go back!
