“Comfort and care in Cornwall”

We had the good fortune to book B&B at Dorset Farm when we went to Cornwall for a week to visit sites such as the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. In wet November weather we were warmly welcomed by Jon and Vi and made very comfortable throughout our stay. Our room and en suite were in excellent decorative order and spotlessly clean, and the guests' lounge was warm and cosy. Located near Launceston, we found Dorset Farm an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast each morning before setting off on our excursion for the day, and relaxed in the evenings in front of a log fire. Through Jon and Vi we also spent an enjoyable day with a local photographer developing our photographic skills. What could have been a damp and miserable week turned out to be a most enjoyable holiday thanks to Jon and Vi. We have no hesitation in recommending Dorset Farm, and we certainly plan to go there again.

We stayed here last week and it was a very pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings. Very nice rooms. We had two very nice en-suites with good hot powerful showers. Jon and Vi were excellent hosts. Lovely breakfast. We will definately book up again.

Warm welcome from John and Vi, with superb accomodation in peaceful quiet surroundings. Excellent breakfast - we would thoroughly recommend this place, and would stay here again next time we are in Cornwall.

“A tranquil setting with accomodation and service second to none!”

As a busy company director, rarely do I have time to sit at my pc. and write reports and I don`t do surveys yet sometimes in life you experience something that you just have to tell others about. Thats how I feel right now about my weeks stay at Dorset Farm, Boyton, Launceston in the lovely county of Cornwall.
When first driving between the two entrance pillars my wife and I were immediately faced with a driveway surrounded by the most gorgeous of mature trees of the Oak and Ash variety to name but a few. As we approached the lovely farm house there was a sense of space, peace, quietness and sheer tranquility with well kept lawns, hedges and trees adorning the surrounding area as far as the eye could see. In a yonder field we could see cows basking in the morning sun. Just close your eyes and picture that if you are a town dweller like myself. Its absolute magic. Once making our presence known at the entrance door to what was to be our home for the next six days, we were warmly greeted by farmer Jon and his lovely wife Vi; so much so was that greeting that I just knew my wife and I were going to really enjoy our stay here at the farm. Once inside after a brief chat we were shown our room and it was truly amazing. The decor, fittings and furnishings were of the highest order and easily matched other 5 star places of stay I had experienced over many years. Remember, this dwelling had been rated 4 star which in my opinion was very underated.
As a person much involved with renovation and building work with my own properties I could truly appreciate the work Jon and Vi had put into their home and its there for all of us to enjoy. The cooked breakfast of our choosing was superb and soon became a thing my wife and I looked forward to for every day of our stay. As hosts go, you soon realised that with Jon and Vi nothing was too much trouble and that you were their first concern. Why, we were even given a tour of their farm which we so much appreciated adding just that extra touch of enjoyment above that already experienced with our lovely room, gorgeous food and hospitality. I can honestly say to any fellow holiday seekers out there that you can rest assured of a really great stay at Dorset Farm and its not far from the villiage either when wanting those odd things from a box of tissues to sticky tape.
Along with my wife Joy, we truly did not want our stay to end and yes we most certainly will want to stay again but for longer next time.
Jon and Vi, you do Cornwall proud, thank you both so much for such a lovely stay and your warm friendship.
God bless,
John & Joy Doughty,

Dorset farm was a lovely suprise at the end of a long drive. The owners were more than helpful, providing the best customer service I have recieved in a long time. The room was well decorated and clean with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The ensuite facilitys where of the highest standard. I would not hesitate to return for a longer stay.
