We stayed here for 4 nights in mid-December. Pandanus is a perfect place to unwind! We were there during the week so there wasn't too many other guests. However, the resort is so large that, even with more people, there should still be quiet spots for everyone. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. The beach was also clean since there is a team of cleaners working at dawn making sure of that.
The reception desk service was very friendly and quick to answer to your needs. It would be better though, at the tour desk, to have posters and information about places to visit in the area in English or Vietnamese. The days we were there, the posters were in Russian and German! Loved the free morning tour to Mui Ne Village, the fishing harbour, and the market. Just ask the reception to book you on one of those tours, they start early (6:30 I think).
The free access to the gym was also nice in case it rains or you're a gym-addict. The buffet breakfast included was fabulous. So many choices of both Vietnamese and Western items! We just loved it! Make sure to taste those dragon fruits since they're from the region! Meals in the resort were tasty but on the expensive side, of course, it's a 4* resort! You can also step outside and eat at several local places just across the street. The one just in front of the resort is the less interesting one, it seems to be geared for German tourists. Just walk the street heading either south or north (towards the red sand dunes) and you'll find a bunch of good restaurants. At night, there's a Filipino band playing by the pool. We were there for a BBQ one night. Great selection of food, loved the grilled seafood! Pandanus also offers free shuttles to Ham Tien, the tourist strip where most of the other resorts and shops are.
If you're coming from Ho Chi Minh City, the most comfortable way to get there is to take the train. The Golden Train to Phan Thiet is very comfortable and there is no road congestion to be afraid of. Arriving in downtown Phan Thiet, you can take a taxi to Mui Ne where Pandanus is located. Alternatively, you can take one of the Open Tour Bus, it's cheaper but we just hate to be stuck in traffic.

Nicolas,
Thank you very much for your wonderful review.
In response to your comment about the signs at the tour desk; they are placed there by the various German and Russian tour companies that book our hotel. They have local staff who live year-round in Phan Thiet and come to the hotel daily to sell tours to their clients. The signs at the desk are put up by these local tour company representatives. English tour descriptions are posted on our activities board next to the front desk. Also, if any English speaking guests wish to book tours, both our pr manager who sits at the tour desk most of the day and our reception staff will help them.
Local Vietnamese guests never book tours, so it isn't necessary to have descriptions of tours in Vietnamese. They always know where they want to go and how to get there, either in their own cars or their chartered tour buses. Usually they are only interested in going to the sand dunes. Overseas Vietnamese all speak English, so we provide them with English tour descriptions.
