We were really happy with this hotel. The price was great for a 3 star for starters. The location, better. Creixell is a small town with little there, but an ideal and quiet location to stay outside of Tarragona which is where the touristy things are. If you're looking for a cheap and good restaurant around, go to the Aqua bar in town. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff was very friendly. Our room had its own air conditioning and heat controller. As far as the balconies, if you have small children, you'd be wise to just keep the door out to it closed. We travelled with our 5 months old, and the only problem we encountered due to that was that the place is filled with beautiful ceramic tiled floors and STAIRS. Not very suitable for a stroller and we ended up just leaving ours in the car instead of carrying it up two flights of stairs every day as there was no elevator. The pool was smallish, but enough for a nice cool dip and more than enough for children to splash around in. I'd definately stay there again when visiting Tarragona.

“Lovely hotel but has a few issues”

Our holiday was booked through www.littlehotelsofspain.com. The pictures and description are very misleading. The hotel is very pretty and the hotel staff are fantastic. The rooms were cleaned every day and the restaurant was really nice and good value. However, we stayed in a family room with our two children aged 5 and 18 months. The air conditioning was on winter mode so was warm, the room had three Juliette balconies and another balcony, so with no other windows it was very hot. In my opinion even though the room was nice it was completely unsuitable for families, due to the number of balconies. The major problem however was the welding / fabrication works directly outside the room. There is a petition for this to be shut down but it didn't help us, if it is however, the hotel is nice for adults / couples. Creixell itself is a small residential village with not very much there, but the beach is worth a visit.
