We had the most wonderful stay at Borgo Matero. The Villa we rented was the smallest one and it was the perfect size for a couple. It was impeccable and well furnished Ángela, the owner of the property was attentive to every one of our needs and was a great source of reccomendations for our daily excusions. We arrived at the beginning of the fall and the colors of the trees around the property were incredibly beautiful. Borgo Matero is close to all the historic cities in Tuscany and less than two hours from Florence. The views are breath taking, the food amazing, the wines fantastic and the people very friendly. We visited all the villas because we intend to go back with friends and they were all equally well appointed. We also met Angela's parents and they were the warmest and nicest people.

A friend of mine recommended Borgo Matero to me.What a beautiful peaceful place.Very close to all beautiful towns,spas,hot springs and much more.I enjoyed very much the privacy of each house with their private patios and gazebos.Angela was the perfect hostess and extremely helpful.One of my best holidays ever! Our family stayed in a villa at Borgo Matero and could not have found a more beautiful place to stay in Tuscany. It was located close to make day trips to Sienna, Florence and other beautiful spots through out Tuscany. The best part of these day trips was coming back home to our villa. It is surrounded by beauty, peace and lovely people. It was a place we felt welcome and at home. Angela and Mama are always available with a smile and Caio. We were treated to some of their homemade Wine and olive oil. There was even a lovely clothing store on-site for my girls to do a little shopping. Thank you Angela and family for making our trip to Italy feel like visiting family. We look forward to returning. The Bechard Family, John, Susan, Drew, Sara and Haley.

Borgo Matero is outstanding and is run very effeciently by Angela Romei who could not be more helpful and knowledgeable about Tuscany

The accomodation is spotless and of a very high standard all guests will be very pleasantly surprised. The area is very quite and peaceful absolute bliss

Angela arranged a cooking course for us which was held on site in one of the lodges kithcen's. Angela acted as interpreter between ourselves and Merilla and the dishes she preapared were just fantastic
