“Great party hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

Directly at the bottom halt of the cable line, about 50meters to the end of the ski slope. A great party location for snowboarders in winter, and bikers in sommer. This hotel is definitely for young parties or groups. You can not destroy anything in the house, as all is only concrete and glass. The rooms are spacious, if you take double, but TV is desperately missing, as all in house TVs are set just to one channel, with low voice. Wifi in whole house is OK. The meals are ok, nothing special, but fine to fill up your stomach before and after skiing. The small saunas, are great after skiing, and never crouded. There is a trampoline in the foyer, which is free to use, just needs to be scheduled a day ahead.

“cool location....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 July 2010

stay there if you wanna have fun amongst friends.

it's some kind of new concept you have to adopt to... - it's very nice but cold interior and you have everything you might need there - even a own disco in the hostel, as it is far away from big entertainment centers...

go there with friends to enjoy a few days doing whatever you wanna do....

“Hotel has its potential but lacks finishing touches all over the place”

We stayed for a week at cube Nassfeld from 17th of January till 24th. Not to make the confusion, we liked the hotel itself or to be precise most of it, it is a real skiers hotel and that was pretty much that we looked for. What we didn't liked was the horrible service in the hotel and some really strange policies in it. Check in was swift although we were the only one to arrive during that period. Receptionist were clumsy and couldn't give you any kind of precise information of the ski area nor the things in the hotel. When we checked in we were told that meals are served in the cube b which is another building right next to the cube a where the reception desk is and as well as the bar so that we don't have to walk to cube a in order to have breakfast or have a drink. However it turned out that event though there is dining room in the cube b the management found it more suitable to shift all the dining activity into cube a, since there wasn't enough guests in cube b to make them open this one which to myself was unbelivable, also to use sauna you had to walk to cube a to get a towels since small reception in cube b wasn't working, infact nothing worked there in the cube b and if you wanted to get something done you,ll had to get out and walk to cube a. Even though cube declares itself as a three star hotel it has a one star service which upon my opinion is one of the worst I have experienced in my life. If you are hoping that you,ll find a soap in the room you are dead wrong since you will have to buy it yourself as well as toothpaste and all other things that you are used to find in the ordinary hotels. Also there is all over the hotel a warning sign to call it like that that hotel management strictly forbid you to drink or eat anything that is bought outside the hotel!! This was really disappointing and not to mention that if you were in cube b you couldn't even get a drink since nothing was working there, even vending machine hasn't been filled for god know how long so of you wanted to get yourself a drink, you guess what, you had to get outside and go to cube b. The only staff that was helpfull were the maids in the hotel and they gave us more information than receptionist. Now, about the good sides, if you are skier, you are going to love the room amentities with plenty of room to store your gear, heater for your ski boots after a long days of skiing, hot shower and what I liked and someone may disagree was absence of TV set in the room. It makes you to relax. My tip will be to go in the off season period as it is more quieter in the hotel if you run into a bigger crowd as we did on our last night of stay it tends to become unbarable since the sound isolation isn't that great. I consider stay in this hotel as a nice experience due to its ski amenities and proximity to the lifts but I'll never stay in it again unfortunately, there are lot of private apartments which are better equiped and with much better service for whole lot less money than cube.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your stay and your comments. We appreciate that you took the time to write us, as constructive feedback like yours helps us to improve our hotel.

We are very happy that you liked the CUBE Hotel and the benefits and amenities for your sports equipment!

However, we truly want to apologize for the inconveniences during your stay (vending machine) and the shortcomings of our new receptionists. Some of our young colleagues joined the team only recently and apparently still need some training. To avoid such situations in the future, we have already scheduled an additional professional training for our new employees in order to improve our services.

Regarding your inconveniences with CUBE A and B: CUBE NASSFELD is the first CUBE hotel opened in 2004. It is the largest CUBE and the only one where two CUBEs stay side by side. This won’t happen again since we’ve learned from the disadvantages ;-) However, according to the occupancy, we always try to provide as much reception and service (like towels or drinks) as possible in CUBE B. We are very sorry for the inconveniences you experienced due to the lack of staff in your case.

Dear guest, thank you again for your feedback. It would be a pleasure for us welcoming you again in one of our hotels – maybe we can convince you with our service in the newer CUBEs in Tyrol or Switzerland which do provide even more design and more comfort! With “cubically” regards, the hotel management

“Modern hostel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2009

I woudn't call Cube a hotel, more like modern, high quality hostel, because a lack of bathrooms in most of the rooms. Instead, toilets and bathrooms are situated on the corridor. But for a hostel, Cube is tidy and roomy, and meals included in a demipension are really tasty. Because the skiing ticket is also included in a price, I'd say you'll get your money's worth when staying at Cube, and therefore I'd recommend it, especially if you're young, snow sports and/or party orientated person used to sleep in cheap hostels.

“Modern hotel close to the pists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2009

I have stayed one week in this nice hotel. I recommend it to people who want to meet other people. The hotel is really modern and well equipped for snow holidays : Hanging systems for the ski/snowboard, heating system for the boots.
Nice spa/relaxation area with saunas, hammam an relaxation area.
I do not recommend the hotel to people who are looking for high comfort, nevertheless for all other people, I recommend it... Do not hesitate to check my pictures and check the hotel website.
Moreover, the Skiarena Nassfeld/Hermagor is a really cool domain.
