Dear postmaster, we (the direction of Camping L'Aube) have received a phone call from a client to ask about the quality of our camping. Our client had made a reservation of one of our bungalows and was scared of what she saw in a post written on the 19th of June, 2003 in your forums. All what this post explained was a complete lie. We think that, since this post has been there for almost 2 years, we have the right to have ours too. According to the city from where the post was written, we have realized that this person was a "lady" (to name her somehow) who spent a night in our bungalows. I'm going to write some chronological facts she didn't mention.

The day after she arrived to our camping, she left without pay. We called her but, to our surprise, she had given a fake telephone number, which indicates that she wasn?t planning to pay from the beginning. We start our investigation to find her and we were successful, we got in touch with her to give her a chance to pay before taking any legal action against her. In all years we've been running this camping (it's a familiar business), this was the first time we were in such a situation. Acting in good faith has always been our business policy, and this lady is not going to make us change.

Well, after we get in touch with her, the only answer we got from her was a formal accusation before the Business and Tourism Department of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Spain), accusing us of the same slanderous allegations she wrote in the post. We guess she was only mad because we had found her, what makes us suspect that she's done this in other places. After this accusation we had the visit of the Government's Inspectors. As they came to our camping, we gave them the keys of all our bungalows and we offered them the possibility to see all the camping areas, laundry room, swimming pool, bar, restaurant, supermarket, children area. We showed the inspectors every little corner of our camping. This visit wasn't necessary, but we wanted them to know how we do things and that our camping is by far one of the best of the region. At the end of the visit we receive the Government's inspectors' congratulations not only for the hygiene but also for the quality and safety of all and every one of our camping facilities.

After that, we started legal actions against her, but the "lady" got in touch with us to pay what she owed us and we told our lawyers to stop any legal proceedings (she probably had to face some Government's actions for slander accusations). Since we had received the money we didn't want to harm anyone, but if we had know before about this post we would probably had proceed with the legal actions against her (we don't deserve anyone lying about us). The money is not the only reason we pursue, we work hard to give our suns, daughters and grandchildren a business with as many "friends" as we can, cause this is the only way they'll inherit a business that grows every day and which best active is our clients, those who enjoy all our facilities, those who let us see that they have a great time, those who pay us with their smiling faces, all of which makes our work worth.

Don't you think that this "lady" should have more consideration to other's work? We think she may be used to go to places without paying, but this time she found us, a family who tries to give the best to their clients, but who is not going to let anyone destroy what we've been fighting for during years, a familiar atmosphere in one of the most beautiful regions of Catalonia. We work hard every day to keep the friendship of all the families who visit us every year. We just hope that the people who read this slanderous post would give us the chance to let us know and, at the same time, they'll enjoy one of the best natural environments of Catalonia.
