When reading reviews I always wonder who wrote them, well my partner and I are in our mid-20's and a professional couple from the South Hams in Devon who enjoy an variety of watersports on our local coastline. When looking for a cheap deal for august the Bon Repos consistently came up as the best deal around and after reading some alarming reviews on trip advisor we took the plunge in a bid to avoid Costa del Chav elsewhere in Europe. Our transfer to the hotel was lovely and we thought much the same of the hotel and the 2 previous reviews. After expecting the worst we had a lovely time. Food at times could resemble school dinners but while the dining room was crowded at 7pm, that is when the best food is out and the staff work very hard to replenish it as quick as possible. If you prefer not to eat in the hotel but dont want to go into Korcula there 3-4 other places within a short walk. We found the water taxi to Korcula VERY reliable and the walk was lovely. There are also other water taxi's to local island and we even rented our own boat from the Hotel one day. The Bon Repos is not a 5* Hotel but what is does it does well. Best tip - take a roll mat or inflatable bed for those rocky coves and pebbly beaches!

We spent 2 weeks at the Bon Repos. Having read the reviews before we left we were concerned about what we would find. However, we need not have woried. Our late arrival (flights delayed by 3 hours) meant we arrived long after dinner had been served but after checking in we were shown to the dining room where a meal of chicken & cold meat salad, bread and fruit awaited us. Our room was in the Jasmin pavillion. It was very clean, had modern furniture and an up to date bathroom.The rooms were cleaned daily and our towels were changed every day. Dinner was served between 7 and 9pm each evening. It was very busy at 7pm and people queued to get in from about 6.45. By waiting for a little while we avoided the crush mentioned by another reviewer and went at 8pm. There was still plenty of food and the buffet was frequently refilled.. Staff were friendly , helpful and most understood and spoke some english. The hotel had easy access to the beach where there were snackbars, loungers etc . Korcula town was a leisurely 35 -40 minutes walk or a short water taxi ride (boats available from the jetty on the beach). Guests were mainly from eastern europe and the hotel was popular with couples and families looking for a relaxing holiday. The hotel was good value for money and we would certainly stay there again.

I'll keep short and simple.
Located very close to beautiful town of Korcula. Taxi boat (£1.20) 5 min, or you can walk 20-25 min (enjoyable walk). Lumbarda is 6 km away with nice sand beach, or you can choose any islands (7-8 of them near by).
Food in a hotel was very good. I would go a step further and say that it was brilliant.
Rooms not the best in the world, but hey, they are ok and clean and that is more then enough.
Polish and Russian were in majority.
This is a perfect place for families with young children.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and overall we were disappointed. Firstly, it is located outside Korcula town, not really within walking distance as we had initially thought when booking. You can get a water taxi into Korcula town, but it is not a reliable service. Therefore, our only other option was a car taxi, and considering there wasn't really anything else around the Bon Repos in the line of restaurants or things to do, we did spend a bit of time & money getting taxis in & out to Korcula town.

The facilities are ok at the hotel - swimming pool, tennis, bike & car rental, etc. However, the hotel is very run down. Yes, it's clean & the service is nice & friendly, but overall the complex needs a major overhaul. The breakfast buffet was quite poor as well. We definitely wouldn't stay there again.
