Why this hotel does not have 5 stars is beyond me. I regularly stay in luxury hotels and this is certainly one of them. We arrived late at night in the pouring rain and someone immediatly jumped out to take care of us and our luggage. We were seated in the beautiful lobby and given a pot of excellent tea served in fine china. The chateau is stunning and the rooms are too. The spa is superb with an indoor and outdoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and fitness area.
The only downside was that we could not receive a wireless signal in our room and that internet was not free. Also, 28 euros for breakfast is insane but this seems to be becoming the standard in French luxury hotels. We'll pick up some fresh pastries from the local boulangerie instead.
The service was truly excellent and the whole experience felt very luxurious and special. Highly recommended.

Well have to say this was a marvellous experience. It was the first of five different chateau we stayed in and very grand, surrounded by lovely lawns, old walls and great views. The staff were fantastically helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The room was grand, just like the whole hotel, well designed and just made you feel you were staying somewhere special.

We made full use of the Pool and spa, very relaxed, staff on hand to sort out towel's and get drinks and food and overall just really really relaxing ! We even tried the massage chairs for 30 mins which were worth the go !

The meal was pricey, but served in a large conservatory in comfortable lounge chairs you really felt that you were having a chateau meal. The quality of the food was 5* as you would expect and every mouthful was perfection. There was no rushing, great service and it was just a fantastic experience !

The following day we both had massages from the local lady. She was fantastic, a really well done massage we both would recommend, i have had a few now and she was the best, just because she really new how to make you relax, loose that stress, but also get to the bits that needed tweaking.

Overall it was not cheap .... no not cheap at all. But it was worth every penny. For us it was a one night stay, just a grand night, in a grand chateau.

Overall a big shot.
Only the restaurant was not at the level I expected.
It is good but it is a bit pretentious.
The dishes are well done and products are nice but the alchemy does not work.

We loved our three night experience at Ch. Mirambeau in room 12. It lives up to all the pictures on the hotel website. Our trip was focused on the vineyards in and around Bordeaux we had to take the ferry boat from Blaye across the river to the Medoc. There are closer hotels, but none so beautiful as Mirambeau. It was so nice to return to the hotel each day after sightseeing. We had diner for two nights in the hotel and the food, although not spectacular, was fine. Service and ambiance was so lovely one hated to check out. We would recommend it to anyone touring the Bordeaux area.
