My husband and I had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at Carole's place. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We felt like we were visiting an old friend. The room is great, and has everything available you might need. Snacks, drinks, coffee pot and coffee as well as sunscreen. The bed is comfortable and everything in the room is very clean and well taken care of. Believe me Carole has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. An amazing outdoor kitchen is available to you, we didn't cook but did get our dinner as take out so we could enjoy it while taking in the view from the outdoor sitting area.
The room is very quiet, relaxing and private. Small private sitting area just outside the room with chairs and a hammock. There's nothing like falling asleep while listening to the coquie frogs, we even had a couple of them visit us in our room.
Carole is an amazing woman, so glad we got to meet her and spend time visiting with her. We felt like she was an old friend the moment we met. She makes you feel so welcome but at the same time makes sure that you have the privacy you desire. We enjoyed the room and surroundings so much but meeting Carole had to be the highlight of our stay.
If you are looking for somewhere to get away from everything and just spend time relaxing this is the place to go.

Wonderful is the only way to describe Carole's villa. Lovely room and a great outdoor kitchen. The frogs sing you to sleep at night. Carole was a great host. It was exactly what we were looking for. We went to El Yunque to enjoy the natural history and then got to be surrounded by nature in the evening as well

Better late than never. Went here on the weekend after Valentines Day 2008. Everything was booked and a nearby villa recommended Caroles Villa. Sure why not. We arrived and Carole greeted us outside. The couple we knew who lived in PR looked inside the room and offered to take us somewhere else because it wasn't somewhere they would stay. We gave it a look and felt it was completely "us". The room is a nice size with a coffee maker and a mosquito net over the bed, which I definitely used. Its the rainforest, there are bugs! What I love about the place is the homeyness of it. There was a hammock outside which I used ALOT overlooking Caroles Banana trees. Jesus felt very Tarzan like and helped Carole wack down some of the trees in the back.She must have thought we were nuts. Do have her smoothie, its the best. Do eat a fresh coconut from the yard. Do enjoy the outdoor kitchen and the View from it. Do go to the river and have an adventure. LOVEd it here, it made our entire trip. I saw light bugs and the coqui frog everyone swears is annoying...I loved the sound!

What a wonderful stay at a beautiful location. As commented, this isn't the Courtyard or the Hilton, so don't expect it to be. If you're looking for somewhere off the beaten path with an amazing view (that Carole doesn't want you to post pictures of) this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and make her have a beer with you in the evening as you watch the light fade away. What a wonderful series of conversations with a beautiful free spirit. She will do her best to leave you to yourselves if that's what you want, but you'll be missing out if you don't drag her out of the house to chat. Love the dogs, the house, and the location.

If you're warm natured (like I am) you will definitely need the fan. Oh yea, take her up on the banana smoothie and the oatmeal, you won't regret it. Would love the opportunity to return....
