it says it was compleated in 2006 mybe first time of opening going there in may let u know whats it like

I haven't seen a completion date on the website only year of construction. There is quite a bit of construction in that area that has been left empty either completed or unfinished. Presumably down to the economic problems.

Thanks to both of you. I was going to book Los Jameos near PDC due to it having such good reviews but having seen some photos on the web of this property I quite like the idea of a "villa" type accommodation with All Inclusive! I stayed at the Gran Castillo in January and it was a bit of a walk to the marina but it didnt bother us would you say its about the same distance from the Club Coral to Playa Blanca itself?

hi mate as i said im going in may 4 a week hireing a car about 80 pound bargain dosnt mater about distance dos it beach or town what ever !

No it doesn't if you hire a car but parking in PB can be a challenge!!

I'd say it was further but Imight be wrong.

We used to live in the montana roja area of playa Blanca in the shangrila complex. Although we moved back to the uk in 2003, and there has been extensive building in the area since then, I would estimate that walking time into the main playa blanca strip to be around 30 mins. 5 mins by car or taxi ( which were quite cheap). This used to be a very quiet area although not sure what it is like now.

just got back from this hotel had a week there the villas are very nice the staff couldnt do enough for you they offer u a shuttle bus to the beach but i would advise a car as its location is a bit way out there is no entertainment building at the moment but there is one being built soon . so if its a bit chilly at night everyone sits in the dinig room i was told by a staff member these villas were supposed to be sold but because of the recestion thay didnt so it was turned into a hotel not properly geared up for it yet hope this helps everyone very quite area

I am booked for 2 weeks at the beginning of August. Can you confirm the quality of the food and is there a varied menu.
