“ Pirates Voyage & Island Vista Resort ”

Hello everyone. Our family of 10 is going to be staying at the Island Vista Resort starting on the 10th. Does anyone know if doing their meal plan would be beneficial - includes breakfast and 3 course dinner. Roughly $45 for adults and $20 for kids, includes all taxes and gratuities. They will allow credit of 1 day if we choose to go elsewhere, which we were. We wanted to go to the Pirate Voyage show. Has anyone been to this - not even sure if it opened yet. I know it will be open when we are there. I hate to go in during the first few shows. I'm thinking the actors may not be as "seasoned" as their performance. Any thoughts? Any other suggestions of good places to visit?

We went to pirates voyage on the opening weekend and it is a must do I think food and show both great

We just went to the show this weekend. The show was a bit corny, but there were some aspects of it that we enjoyed. The high divers and the animals were entertaining. Some of it was very boring.

The food: It started out good, but got worse as the items were brought out. The bread and chicken were good. The mashed potatoes are instant potatoes and not very good. Ours was the right consistency, but the row in front of us was like soup, yuk! The pork rib was gross. We left most of the food on the plates.

We went several times to the Dixie Stampede, but will not return to the Pirates Voyage. Hate that we paid that much money!
