Just got back from Brewster. We spent Tuesday night at Ocean Edge. We got married there 15 years ago and we loved it. This time, we stayed in the west wing of the mansion and I have to say it was not worth what we paid! It was decent, and we enjoyed reminiscing, but it has expanded and lost some of its charm. The robes they had waiting fir us were dirty - they looked laundered but they had grease stains on the bottom. The indoor pool didn't seem well maintained. All that said, we hung out on their private beach and they provided chairs and an umbrella and he day was quite lovely.
We went to Chillingworth bistro for dinner and the food was wonderful. Appetizer gazpacho was yummy (and gazpacho can be hit or miss). I also had French onion soup gratinee which was great. And their toffee pudding with sundried cherries was outstanding. The prices were reasonable too.
