I'm staying in Tampa 27-30 Jun. weather Channel predicts thunderstorms the whole stay. What do you do in Tampa when it rains?

It might not rain all day. Often in the summer the thunderstorms only last an hour or so. Also, since that's a week away, it may not rain at all.
But, if it does rain, there's some great indoor shopping malls close to each other - International Plaza and Westshore Plaza. Here are links to their websites:

Westshore plaza also has a movie theatre.
You could check out the Museum of Science and Industry if that interests you:
There's also the Florida Aquarium:
There's an upscale bowling alley, Splitsville, in the Channelside complex. There's also an IMAX theatre there.

There's also Gameworks in Ybor that has tons of arcade games that can be fun for adults as well as kids.

Hope that gives you some ideas!
Don't worry about forecasts for rain. Our summer storms - if they come at all - tend to be mid-late afternoon, and come and go quickly. You could duck into a bar when the clouds break open, and by the time you finish your drink, the sun will be out again.
We joke that on June 1, the TV weather guys put up a graphic that shows high 90, low 76, 40% chance of rain 7 days a week until mid-October... It is very rare that we get an entire day of rain.
Sophie...that was great! We often laugh about how easy the weather dudes have it here during the summer: hot, humid with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms! You're right...the same forecast straight through October! I think that's why they all get so exicted when there's a hurricane on the way....it gives them something to do!!
Thanks for the chuckle on here!!
It's the one job where you can be incorrect so often and still keep your job. LOL.
Glad I could brighten your day. :)
