Anyone booked with Hoteltravel.com or Asiarooms.com?

Has anyone booked their hotel through Hoteltravel.com or Asiarooms.com. Are these sights ok? Bit worried as always booked a package before. Any help to put my mind at rest will be greatly appreciated.

Used ASIAROOMS in April this year and had no problems. Really good prices. We will definately use them again.

Have used Hoteltravel.com for my upcoming trip to Ko Samui. My experience so far has been fantastic, great service and all my questions replied to efficiently and promptly. They even got me a room at Sala Samui when others couldn't and at the best rate!

I recommend

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Bangkok, Hua Hin, Cha-am

Always shop around, it's not just price but choice, some operators might only have a few places, others may have over 100, so do shop around, search on Yahoo for cheap hotel rates or discount hotel rates, I use Beachsiam.com mainly for having a huge choice of places and always been reliable.

Have booked a week at the Nora with Asia rooms and still also waiting on reply from hoteltravel.com as to whether we have a room at the Sala Samui for our second week. I've tried everywhere to get a room there and this is my last hope! Does anyone know if any of these companies are covered by something simular to ABTA??

Very small beach in front of hotel, but u can walk along towards Chaweng Beach. Do u have a villa or room ? Unfortunately when we were there the "sun bed issue" occured with many of the guests putting towels on and not appearing till lunchtime! One German family started putting their towels on the night before, but the pool staff soon cottoned on and put a stop to it. We had no complaints about the breakfast and had lunch several times which was always good. U will need to get a taxi into Chaweng as the road is unlit and dodgy at night. Don't use the hotel laundry, go to the front of the hotel and turn left and a few hundred yards down the road on the right there is a place which does it half the price. Make sure u have a late night cocktail in the bar as they are loveley! U have free internet access 24/7 in the hotel lobby but my teenage daughter who spent several hours a day on MSN did get badly bitten. WE had no problems in the room though. Hope this has been a help.

Thanks for the info, i am really looking forward to staying there. We have got a normal room not a villa, although the villa's do look lovely we went for the cheaper option. Are there any bars and resturants close by we could walk to in the evening or is a taxi a must??
