Hello hello,
It is in someways surprising how many shops and things still close on Good Friday - a combination of a largely incohate sense of devotional obligation and stiff industrial award conditions, I suspect. Anyway, as the others have suggested, it can be a good move to decide on what you'd really like to do first and then check if it's going to open. Most things you're likely to want to do will have a website. I'd opt for something outdoorsy if the weather allows. Walking from Bondi along the coastal walk is always good fun.
Note, too, that public transport options will operate on a public holiday timetable. For the most part, this means reduced bus and train services. The Manly ferry service public holiday timtable isn't too bad.
As for cricket, SpencerBenjamin is right - I think. Cricket is a summer sport, and so by the start of April (i.e. autumn) competitions have basically wound up. Should you like to see some sport on Good Friday, why not consider the Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos NRL match at the Sydney Football Stadium that evening? Could be a fun sporting night out. And the match won't take up the same sort of time as a cricket match!
And, yes, liquor licences do have certain restrictions for Good Friday - no takeaway alcohol from bottleshops and some restricted trading conditions for on-licences (e.g. pubs).
Happy Easter!
