How do I get from the Silen Rona Dolba hotel to the train station in Salamanca and does the train go to the airport in Madrid? If not how do I get the the Best Western Baraja airport hotel from the train in Madrid? Help would be appreciated Having never been in Salamanca
It is possible to get from your hotel to the train station by public bus. However, it would include walking to the bus stop, waiting, and also a change in buses mid-way through the route. If you have luggage, that will be very inconvenient. I suggest you call for a cab. Tel# 923-250-000. I'm sure the hotel could assist you. Maybe 5-10 euros.
However, the Train does not go to the Barajas airport. It will stop (most likely) at the Chamartin train station. So you would need to take another cab to the airport, located outside of the city. Probably a minimum of 25 euros. So my suggestion is to take the bus from Salamanca instead of the train. Check the schedules at www.avanzabus.com. You didnt say when you were traveling, but this summer they started routes that from Salamanca directly to the Barajas airport. That saved time and money.

Problem with bus they do not have el banyos and a 2 1/2 hour trip would be a bit long to wait. or do they have banyos? Thank you for your info
No, there are no baños on the bus. If you buy a ticket on the "expres" bus, it is 2 1/2 hours and there are no stops. I make a point of visiting the facilities before boarding the bus. There are baños in the bus stations for the before and after trips.
I'm just thinking that if you can make it the 2 1/2 hrs 2 w/o the baño, the rest of the trip would be a lot more convenient when compared to the train - only because it would get you closer to your final destination.
Thank you. I actually found that I can take the train to Charmatin and then go to Barajas metro stop and my hotel the night before I leave is at that stop Then the hotel takes me to the airport in the morning. So now I am all set. I can take the train. Thanks for all your help
