 Pensions in Seville?

Hey

My boyfriend and I will be Seville in late May this year. Can anyone advise on a nice, clean, budget pension in Seville? we are hoping to be able to find something when we arrive as we are not definate on our date of arrival.

In some other Spanish cities I have found nice places on arrival after being approached by older wmen in the street advertising their rooms - does this happen in Seville?

TThanks

1. Re: Pensions in Seville?

I can't really help but of course there are many Pensions in Seville and Trip Advisor does contain quite a number in their lists. One of the better hostels that also offer twin bedded rooms is shown - Samay Hostels. Looks ideal for pre booking if you have obtained the information on the reviews etc.

I don't think you get approached in Seville like you said -at least that has never happened during my wanderings. The main touristy area is of course Barrio Santa Cruz which is easy to get to from most public transport including the airport bus.

Thanks for the reply. I went onto google.es and did a search and found a place called Hostal La Gloria which seems pretty good value. The reviews for it were okay too.

I'm also looking for info on Cordoba if you have any!

Thanks!

Destination Expert   What's this?
for Seville

Some possibilities:

Pension San Pancracio

Hostal Cordoba

Hostal Toledo

Pension Bienvenido

Pension Lis II

Hostal La Montorena

Hostal Catedral

Pension Perez Montilla

Pension Alcazar

Remember the laws changed in the last 2 - 3 years forcing many places which were classified as hostals to become pensions. But many still keep the name "Hostal". Look for the "P" outside to see. Of course I would just pick based on what you like and not go by category, especially in Seville.

You will not find old women out trying to lure you into their accommodations, especially in May when it's hot ;)

Thanks!!

The 'old lady' phenomenon has happened to me in Santiago de Compostela and San Sebastian...in the former probably because of where it is and the constant stream of befuddled sore-footed walkers needing a bed...and the latter perhaps because there was a fiesta on.

Thanks for all the tips! I'll check them out!

IMO Cordoba is best done as a day trip from Seville.
