I hope I do heal quickly as I'm already tired of using these crutches! They hurt even with all the sheepskin padding!

five cents-at least we can all be crazy together!!! I have even started price checking--but will probably wait till after the first of the year to book unless a fantastic deal comes along.

TVgirl, (coming from the ole' ortho nurse) do not lean on your crutches! Put the pressure on the ball of your hands! haha! Yes, I am sure it gets old very quickly! Bless your heart.

fivecents ~ thanks for the suggestion for using the ball of my hands which I've been trying to do. Should feel better in a day or two as the doctor adjusted the crutches last night to the correct height, but the damage had already been done. Just need some extra padding.

I am here too. I have been pricing too but not finding much. I am going to book between Nov and Feb. I heard last year in Nov someone booked 10 nights at the Jewel and air for 2800.00 for 2 in May this year. Hope I can find something close later this year. Scott will be going on vacation himself in May when we all show up at the same time. lol

Maybe the adjustment will help with the crutches. I remember they shouldnt be right under the underarm. Leave a inch or so. Just stay off your feet as much as possible. Cant wait to see you all again, including Melyssa and Cliff. Pray their house sales and they get moved.

TVgirl, good girl, stay off those armpits. don't want nerve damage! elbows should be slightly bent, no pressure on axillary areas, weight on balls of hands. Putting padding on the top of crutches encourages you to lean on armpits; don't let yourself do that! =)

If I could offer one other piece of advice on the crutches issue (as if you haven't had enough advice so far). I agree with not putting padding on the ends, but when I was on crutches (many years ago), I found that adding some padding to the handles helped my hands not hurt as much. On the up side, I also found that 8 weeks on crutches was a great way to build up muscle in my arms - so there's a silver lining if you REALLY want to see it. :)

I have sent in to my rate people to get a rate for may. So I should have an answer within a day or two.

On the other topic I think that steve should carry Yvonne around anywhere she wants to go. :)

I LOVE THAT THIS IS STARTED ALREADY!!! We are going back october 22 of this year and can not wait. I think may 2012 is out for us and we are going to Australia to visit my family and celebratre 40 years of my being!!!! You are all welcome to join us in october of even in may in Australia - maybe our return flight from Sydney to Boston should go via Montego Bay!
