"This Is A Quaint Spot In Downtown Hilo. Don't Be Put Off By The Crazy Traffic It's Worth The Aggravation. You Have To Eat Outside. Great Breezes Coming From The Water. Full Bar, Lots Of Fresh Seafood. Nice Servers."
"Pulled into Ponds for a nice dinner Sunday evening. We were seated overlooking the Ice Pond, and their own Koi Pond, which was lit so you could watch the fish and turtles. Dinner was excellent, some great ono as well as sesame crusted sturgeon. The stuffed bread pudding topped off a wonderful..." meal. Service was polite, friendly and prompt.

"Breakfast at Ken's is a mandatory once a week or more stop when we are in Hawaii. The atmosphere is reminiscent of Denny's circa 1977. Ken's used to be a California based chain - this is the last one, having gone feral in Hawaii. The regulars can order by numbers, I personally recommend Da Brada..."h omlette, the crab cakes Benedict, or anything Sumo. Service is prompt, the coffee is always hot, and there's always something that will have you doing a double-take after eating at Ken's. Breakfast recommended, but lunch and dinner work as well. Also - pineapple upside down cake with ice cream gets a double ono-liscious rating, so save room.
