"On our way to Smith Mountain Lake during the summer season we always stop at Bob Evans in Lynchburg, VA. This location is just off Rt. 460 near Liberty University. (On a side note the grounds are manicured to the max and never are in need on care.) The restaurant is very clean and you are greeted..." with a smile and seated quickly. The staff is on the ball. They are quick and keep an eye on you and even offer you a drink to go at the end of your meal (sometimes you need to ask). The menu has a lot of sections but easy to make a selection without confusion. Seniors even get their own section. Food is well prepared, fresh and lots of flavor. "We stopped in at this place on the recommendation of our son when we picked him up from Lynchburg College. It is right at the bottom of the hill downtown where they seem to be doing a lot of work to spruce things up. The wait staff were all very friendly and the service was very fast, though our son..." said that on a busy weekend night there can be about a 45 minute wait. I would think even that would be acceptable. We ordered two pizzas and split them three ways. The crust was thin and flavorful, baked so that it was crispy and soft. The pepperoni was great, not too spicy and I would assume made locally. The sauce was also great, slightly sweet and acidic. Would definitely return.

"I went for lunch on 5/14/13 with my wife. I have to say I wish I could give it a 10. The food was great, my wife had the chicken salad (salad) and I had the Feta Salad. It was outstanding. The price is very reasonalbe. The salads should have been in a magazine as they looked great. It was some..."thing you see at really expensive restaruants. Now our waitress was perfect. Her name is Katie. I think she said she has worked there many years. It showed, as she was very professional. I will ask for her again. Keep up the good restaurant.
