My wife had the salmon, which she loved, and I had the chicken. Now, I order chicken about as often as the Cubs win the World Se..."ries, partly because I tend to be drawn to menu offerings that I have no experience in cooking at home (e.g., duck, lamb...), and chicken just seems a little too pedestrian. I am probably missing out on a lot of experiences. Maybe ordering the chicken isn't such a bad way to see what a chef can do. We split the spinach salad appetizer, which was excellent. Oh, and the bread (...yeah, I know I'm working backwards here...), crusty with character, warm, served with herbed butter, was truly excellent. My favourite was the whiskey porter, but all of their beers were excellent. The food was good and everything on the menu sounded delicious.
