Yet the Brothers' Bistro is blessedly REAL and is a very welcome addition to Olean's dining scene, which has long been dominated by the Beef 'n' Barrel (for wonderful, time-tested classics) and The Old Library ("for fancy").
My sister and I slogged across New York State on a grey, soggy Friday night to surprise our mom for Mothers' Day. I had never heard of the Bistro; my sister found it on Trip Advisor and secured a 5:30 reservation. (We were fortunate to get a table, as St. Bonaventure University held its graduation that day.)
