"We stumbled across this restaurant along the main pedestrian street in oia and decided to give it a go! Its not easy to see the name of it from the outside but above the door ir says 'view od the volcano'. The restaurant itself overlooks the caldera but the evening we went it was rainy and windy whi..."ch was a shame as the views would normally be beautiful!
The restaurant was quite as low season but we sat in a little corner on a sofa and felt very cosy!
The service was friendly and efficient but the main attraction has to be the quality of food! We started with a fantastic pizzerette then I had chicken with mushrooms, feta and tagliatelle and my husband had pork fillets with risotto! 5 star food at relatively good prices! We would return!

"It's not the easiest restaurant to find and would be hard to stumble across but it well worth going to!
Ochre has lovely views especially at sunset and a nice romantic atmosphere. The food was very nice however the portions are a little on the small side and prices seem average for the area.
T..."he staff are very friendly and the lovely waiter kindly deboned my seabass!
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Oia.

"We had our hotel (Chromata) set up reservations for us. We went early to see the sunset in Oia (said to be one of the best sunsets in the world). After the sunset we got to Ambrosia and they directed us to our table on the terrace. We were right at the edge with an amazing view of the caldera. As th..."e sky darkened our table became illuminated by candles. The waiter was very nice and offered suggestions on what entree and local wine to try. We got beef and veal that were both amazing. We also tried a local white wine that was very good. We skipped dessert because we were too full and satisfied but the waiter brought us some local dessert wine. It came in a cute little glass. It was called Vinsanto and was sweet dessert wine wine with honey. It was too sweet for me, but my husband enjoyed it. Overall a great place to dine and cost us about 175 euros including tip.
